Spring semester may have just begun, but it's already time to start thinking about your chapter's end of the semester newsletter. Here are some things to thing about when putting a newsletter together:
- Budget - If your chapter has never sent out a newsletter and you are not sure how much to budget for, no worries, you can request a quote before getting started. If a print newsletter is not in your budget for this year, an e-newsletter is a good place to start, and depending on the length the cost will range between $150-250.
- Content - Make sure you are gathering content for your newsletter throughout the year. The text and articles in your newsletter are important, but your audience will lose interest in a newsletter that is too wordy or repetitive. For the perfect balance of text to images, collect one or two high quality photos from events your chapter hosts, such as: Pig Dinner, philanthropy events, community service projects, homecoming, etc...
- Include Your Graduates - The main audience for your newsletter is your graduates. While graduates are interested to see how your chapter is growing and the positive impact you are making in your communities, they want to know about life as a graduate. Include information on Pig Dinner, alumni events, grads receiving silver, gold and diamond owls, graduate spotlights, fundraising, etc...
