Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Position Statement
Phi Gamma Delta's mission is to unite men in enduring friendships, stimulate the pursuit of knowledge, and build courageous leaders who serve the world with the best that is in them. Courageous Leaders must seek to understand, appreciate and embrace the differences of our members and in our communities. We need to foster an equitable and inclusive environment for our members and guests.
Phi Gamma Delta is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) through policy and practice. We promote fairness in treatment to ensure an inclusive brotherhood where all people feel protected, connected and respected. Phi Gamma Delta seeks to:
- Ensure that DEIB are integrated into the culture, Rituals, processes, structure and policies of the Fraternity;
- Create opportunities for members to listen, speak and raise their voices about the importance of DEIB efforts;
- Empower our members to lead with courage on DEIB efforts;
- Provide our members with the tools and resources to cultivate a diverse membership and foster an equitable and inclusive environment.
Phi Gamma Delta will not tolerate acts of discrimination or harassment by its members towards any individual or group on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship, ancestry, age, disabilities or any other characteristic protected by law. Any such acts are violations of Fraternity laws and policies, and allegations should be reported on the Incident Report.
