Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Position Statement

The mission of Phi Gamma Delta is to unite men in enduring friendships, stimulate the pursuit of knowledge, and build courageous leaders who serve the world with the best that is in them. In accordance with our mission, we must seek to understand, appreciate, and embrace the differences of our members and in our communities, and always work to foster an equitable and inclusive environment for our members and guests.

Phi Gamma Delta values and is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging through policy and practice. We not only recognize and appreciate differences, but also promote fairness in treatment and access to ensure a welcome and inclusive brotherhood where all members, guests, friends and families feel protected, connected and respected within our midst.

Phi Gamma Delta seeks to:

  • Ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are integrated into the culture, Rituals, processes, structure, and policies of the Fraternity;
  • Create opportunities for members to listen, speak and raise their voices about the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts;
  • Empower our members to lead with courage on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts;
  • Provide our members with the tools and resources to cultivate and sustain a diverse membership, and foster and equitable and inclusive environment.

Phi Gamma Delta will not tolerate acts of discrimination or harassment by its members towards any individual or group on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, citizenship, ancestry, age, disabilities or any other characteristic protected by law. Any such acts are violations of Fraternity laws and policies, and allegations should be reported on the Incident Report.
