Triple A Scholarship FAQ (U.S. Only)
The Triple A Scholarships have served their purpose of helping to encourage strong academics. The Foundation constantly evaluates its programs, including scholarships, and looks to the future and how best to promote strong academics and a healthy fraternal educational experience. There are more effective ways to strengthen the undergraduate experience.
No. Colonies and chapters chartered since January 2017 will still be eligible to apply for the Academic Achievement Award. Newly chartered chapters will have four years from their chartering date in which new initiates will be able to apply.
A list will be kept of the colonies and new chapters that fall into this category. Please make sure that your chapter/colony is still listed before promoting the scholarship and encouraging new members to apply.
The Triple A scholarship program will be coming to an end on June 30, 2021. Individuals that are pledged and reported to the Fraternity headquarters before June 30, 2021 will still be eligible to receive the scholarship once they are initiated and can meet application requirements.
Yes. Newly initiated brothers will have six months from their initiation date to submit an application. That window can extend past the June 30, 2021 end date of the scholarship. If you meet all eligibility requirements in that six-month window, you can still receive the scholarship.
The Foundation plans to introduce new scholarships and initiatives that support our brothers’ academic pursuits and efforts to grow as Courageous Leaders. We are working with the Fraternity to identify ways to do this and will provide updates as new information is available.
If interested, chapters have the option to work with the Educational Foundation staff to have scholarship funds set up so they may continue to offer the scholarship in some capacity.
