The Parliament's Founding Members

The Purpose of the Parliament

We recognize that there are some brothers that want to participate and give back while they are still in school. One of the best ways to do this is by giving to the Educational Foundation. That is why we decided to start an undergraduate giving society that can start introducing brothers to the Foundation prior to graduation.

Why Did We Call it the Parliament?

Owls are known to be a very solitary animal, but when they form groups they are referred to as parliaments. We know that all of our brothers can do great things on their own, but when they join together, they are unstoppable.

How Do I Become a Member?

Any undergraduate brother that makes a gift of $18.48 or more to the Educational Foundation will become a member of the Parliament. This is a one-time donation during your undergraduate career.

What Benefits Come With Membership?

  • With the initial rollout of the Parliament on Giving Day 2019, all undergraduates that join will become Founding Members. You will have your name listed as a Founding Member on the website and in the magazine.
  • You will also receive a snowy white owl lapel pin that you can wear proudly at Fraternity events.
  • There will be special receptions for Parliament members during the Academy and the Ekklesia.
  • We will send you semesterly updates and other information that you might find interesting about what the Fraternity is doing.
  • We will introduce more incentives for Chapters/Colonies that have the highest percentage of joiners on a yearly basis.

What Will My Donation Be Used for?

Gifts to the Educational Foundation are tax-deductible and go right back to the Fraternity. We sponsor a lot of the programs that the Fraternity is offering to our members. This includes mental health programming, sexual assault prevention training, leadership training and alcohol education. Along with providing Triple A Scholarships for new members that receive a 3.2 or higher during their pledging semester.
