The Brightman Trophy is presented to the undergraduate chapter which best demonstrates that "Phi Gamma Delta is not for college days alone" by maintaining and improving relations between the chapter and graduate brothers.
The Brightman Trophy was presented in 1965 by C. Edward Miller (Columbia 1924) in honor of Horace I. Brightman (Columbia 1892). Brightman served eleven years as Phi Gamma Delta's Archon President from 1923-1934, and as Archon Secretary, Archon Councilor, and Ritualist.
