Announcing Project PhiGam

On Friday morning of the Ekklesia, PhiGams from all over North America will gather to give back to our host Community. New Orleans offers numerous opportunities to show our support.

Operation Nehemiah is a nonprofit group of caring individuals committed to the cause of helping families living in the disaster caused by hurricane Katrina. One of the organization’s primary goals is to assist those families impacted by rebuilding as many homes and neighborhoods as possible.

All colony members and any brother attending the Ekklesia, who is not one of his chapter’s three voting delagates, are highly encouraged to participate.

We anticipate our involvement will involve painting homes’ exteriors and other outdoor improvement projects – PLEASE PLAN AND PACK ACCORDINGLY. Brothers participating should dress appropriately – jeans / shorts, t-shirts, sturdy shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and sunscreen.

You may sign up in advance by contacting Field Secretary Russell Ward.

Brothers will also have the opportunity to give back to the USO and the returning troops. On Thursday afternoon brothers will be asked to help assemble care packages for USO Gulfport Center in Biloxi, MS.

The Fraternity will have all items needed – brothers will be asked to assemble packages and sign thank you cards.
