EXPANSION TIMELINE

The following schedule describes Phi Gamma Delta’s colonization approach over an expansion period of 5 - 6 weeks:

Week 1: Campus Orientation and Public Relations

  • Individual meetings with a wide variety of university community members
  • Presentations to IFC, Panhellenic, sororities, and campus organizations
  • Gather recommendations and begin initial contact with prospects

Weeks 2-3: Informational Meetings and Recruitment Interviews

  • Informational meetings for interested students
  • Interview prospects
  • Attend IFC/Panhellenic meetings
  • Group recruitment events

Weeks 4-5: Recruitment Interviews and Membership Selection

  • Recruitment interviews continue
  • Continue group recruitment events
  • Extend invitations to join Phi Gamma Delta
  • Founding Fathers of colony formally pledged

Week 6: New Member Orientation, Officer Training, and Long-Range Goal Setting

  • Goal setting and officer election retreat for new colony members
  • Training meetings with each new officer & committee chairman
  • “Meet the Fijis” reception to introduce membership to campus leaders
  • First colony meeting and pledge education begins
