The Owen Cup is awarded to the undergraduate chapter which has shown the greatest improvement in scholarship over the preceding academic year. It was established by the Nu Omega Chapter at the University of Oklahoma in 1936. It memorializes Frederick B. Owen (Missouri 1903), who introduced the idea of chapter-house tutors to the fraternity world.
